to Create human resources of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for service of the NATION The NCC Sub unit in our institution started in the year 2009 with a sanctioned in-take of 104 cadets under 17 Kerala Bn NCC Pala which fall in Kottayam Group HQ in Kerala & Lakshadweep Directorate. During the second year (2010-11), apart from this sanctioned strength, 32 cadets of our institution were enrolled with the sub unit of St.Joseph College, Moolamattom under open quota enrollment. The NCC unit in our institution is officially inaugurated by Sri.Adv.P.T.Thomas, Hon. M.P. Idukki with the presence of Colonel G.B.Nair, Commanding Officer, 17 (K) Bn NCC Pala. During the past two years, most of the enrolled second year cadets could pass their B & C certificate examinations and first year cadets could clear their B certificate examination. Also, we have arranged various social service camps like Blood Donation, Campus cleaning, Tree Plantations, Anti-Drug Rally and seminar etc aprt from the routine paredes. 5 of our cadets were attended National Integration camp at Mysore in Karnataka state during may 2010, 2 of our Girl cadets were attended the DG NCC’s Trekking camp at Nilgiri in Tamilnadu. The proud achievement of our unit is that Under Officer Sri.Athulkumar V.G (S4 Mechanical Engineering) has represented Kerala in Tal Sainik Camp 2010 (TSC), New Delhi after a series of rigorous selection and training camps. |
Application for GRACE MARK for Academic year 2010-11The NCC cadets those who have done the any CAMP during this academic year and/or attended the ‘B’/’C’ certificate examination are requested to submit there application for grace mark on or before 10/03/2011. Application proforma is available in college site and with Lt. Shajimon K P, ANO.
