Govt Polytechnic College, Muttom is one among the leading Technical Institutions in Idukki District established in 1989 under the Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Kerala.
The scenic 18 acres campus is located in Muttom, 10kms away from Thodupuzha. The campus is situated in close proximity to Moolamattom.
Our Institution offers Diploma courses in five different branches viz.. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering with adequate lab and workshop facilities. The Major strength of the institution is that the admission is fully based on merit, and the education is imparted at nominal fees. Hostel facility is available for boys. The Locality of the campus provides a good oppertunity to the college in becoming a nodal center leading the academic and technical programs of Idukki District. A Well functioning Placement and Training Cell is operating in this institution. May of the alumnis are got good placements through the placement cell.
